As a wholesale distributor of tile and natural stone; Design Materials, Inc. is the comprehensive source for all of your tile needs. Our wide diversity of products and a continued focus towards the needs of our customers have kept us serving the Rocky Mountain region since 1981. Locally owned and operated, we have locations in Albuquerque, Colorado Springs, and Denver where our beautiful, state of the art showrooms are open to the public and staffed by knowledgeable employees that can help you design the project of your dreams!

In order to minimize our impact on the environment, Design Materials goes beyond distributing recycled tiles. DMI’s sustainable operational procedures include:

-Stagging location for Zero Landfill. Since 2006, the ZeroLandfill™ project team has partnered with the architectural and interior design community in identifying, diverting from local landfills and re-purposing back into the community over 500,000 pounds of expired specification samples that hold value for other audiences. 

-reducing the volume of disposable materials used at our offices
-aligning ourselves with green initiative companies
-recycling paper, cans, plastics, electronics, cardboard materials used at our offices
-offer filtered water dispensers, instead of bottled water at our offices
-reuse packaging materials and wood pallets in our warehouse
-price books are now offered online; dramatically reducing paper consumption
-Commercial energy audits to continually reduce energy usage
-We work with RAFT, an organization that takes sampling materials that we would be throwing away and reuses them to make educational activity materials for local schools. www.raftcolorado.org
